Amy & Tom’s destination wedding was a colourful and joyous celebration that seamlessly blended their personalities and their love for each other. They had opted for a beach wedding at Yacht Classic Hotel, Fethiye. Located towards the Turquoise coast of Turkey, the popular port is a well-known destination for its sparkling blue water and natural harbour. As a Fethiye wedding photographer, I have captured several Turkey elopements and grand celebrations, and this wedding was equally special and close to my heart.
The couple had planned their Turkey destination wedding and invited all their family and friends who arrived from the UK. Amy’s grandparents have a house in Fethiye, Turkey, so they visited it for many years. For the same reason, they wanted to get married at the Yacht Classic Hotel. Fethiye is known for its rock tombs, pristine blue waters, and natural scenery. Oludeniz, also known as Blue Lagoon, has one of its famous beaches. Moreover, its gorgeous views make it a popular tourist spot and the most photographed beach in the world.
The bridal morning began with the couple getting ready in their separate suites. As a boutique gem, the hotel is known for its intimate and nautical theme ambience. It provides guests with tranquil views over the Mediterranean and the Turkish coastline. As for the outfits, Amy looked phenomenal in a backless A-line gown with a beautiful neckline. At the same time, Tom looked dapper in a navy blue suit. Surprisingly, all the groomsmen wore similar attire and looked amazing.
Before moving for the ceremony, Amy and her father took a short boat trip. They approached the ceremony shortly after, and the guests eagerly awaited them. After the ceremony, the couple made their way out through the confetti as newlyweds. While the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, I took some time off with the couple for a few romantic portraits at sunset. As a Fethiye wedding photographer, capturing intimate portraits in candid settings has always been my favourite part of the day.
After the session, we moved to the reception space in the garden area overlooking the marina. One of the unique aspects of the evening was the seating plan, named after the cities the couples visited together. Speeches followed, as did the first dance and cake-cutting. Another lovely highlight was Amy’s and her father’s surprise dance, for which they had worked so hard. The guests enjoyed the fantastic dinner and joined the couple for endless celebration throughout the night.
