Melissa and Adam’s wedding in Kayakoy, Turkey was the ultimate dreamy affair! The lovely UK couple invited their closest ones to celebrate their love in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Out of all the weddings I have had the chance to document in Kayakoy as a Turkey wedding photographer, this one definitely stood out!
Melissa and Adam have been visiting Turkey for over ten years, and it is really easy to see why they love it so much. From the incredible hospitality to those stunning landscapes, it quickly became a special place for them, so when they started planning their wedding, choosing Turkey as their destination was a no-brainer! Doesn’t that sound amazing? Namely, a Turkey destination wedding was something they could not resist!
During one of their vacations in Fethiye, they stumbled upon the charming village of Kayakoy. This old Greek village captured their hearts instantly, and it is where they envisioned saying their “I do’s.” They decided to stay at the incredible Gunay’s Garden Villas – a unique boutique villa complex that boasts stunning views and amazing amenities. The couple just knew this would be the perfect venue for their Kayakoy wedding after enjoying a delightful dinner there!
However, the venue was not the only breathtaking element of this Turkey wedding. Melissa wanted something different for her bridesmaids, stepping away from the traditional, formal gowns. She found the most extraordinary dresses that perfectly complemented the vibrant colours of their celebration. I must say, they looked absolutely astounding! And as their Turkey wedding photographer, this inspired my greatest shots!
On their special day, the couple prepped in different rooms, with the stunning Kayakoy ruins in the background. It was amazing to see Melissa, the bride, getting her hair and makeup done by her close friends, which made the day feel even more special.
As Melissa walked down the aisle with her father, everyone was at the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the big moment. The ceremony was incredibly heartfelt, and we were surrounded by family and friends who had travelled from the UK to witness this special Kayakoy wedding. Following the vows and the cocktail hour, the festivities moved to the villa’s restaurant, where everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner.
All in all, Melissa and Adam’s wedding was a perfect blend of love, friendship, and the beauty of Turkey. The colours, the atmosphere, and the emotions were all so vibrant and magical! I just loved capturing these moments, and being their Fethiye Kayakoy wedding photographer was an honour!
